Peek-A-Boo Nursery

We would like to say a big thank you to CSNIPs for their help and support over the last year and a half. This charity has enabled us to give one to one support to a child who was having some development difficulties and in need of closer assistance. Since having a playfriend in place the child has massively progressed in all areas of development for example:

the playfriend provided extra support with speech and language and enabled us to work along with the Speech and Language Therapist, giving the child encouragement he needed
having a playfriend enabled the child to be supported when mixing with his peers and allowed the involvement of group activities
having the playfriend meant the staff were confident of the child’s safety when going on outings.

These are just a few examples of what has been a fantastic experience for everyone involved including the child, the playfriend, nursery staff, children and the parent.

One comment we would like to make is for more/better advertisement of the charity. We heard about it through Adam Smith College and had to do some research on it. We feel there could be more information more readily available.

We are very grateful for the support we have had and would highly recommend CSNIPs to anyone in a similar position.

Thank you again.

Kind Regards

Just a note to say thank you so much for funding our son to have Heather as his playfriend at Pitreavie. He has progressed so much in the last few months and a lot of it is due to the dedication of Heather through yourselves, helping him interact with other children, learn boundaries, progress in his speech and imaginative play and many other things, It really does mean the world to us that there is a charity that can help him in this way and I hope you can carry on helping other children in the future.

 Fast Cars

Look at me and tell me what do you see,

A naughty child perhaps but I’m just a spirit that’s free,

Some people frown and see a child that makes ‘’noise’’

But I am merely a child with a sometimes loud ‘’voice’’.

I can’t help that I run I can’t help that I shout,

I can’t help that I am different when I am out and about,

You see I need understanding and a gentle guidance

When I am sad or angry and frightened.

I don’t understand when these cars in my head keep on racing so fast,

I need some time to calm down but I hate being last.

On the inside I am different but it’s hard to tell,

When on the outside all looks normal and all appears well.

So look a little closer you will be surprised to find,

A loving, caring child with an incredible mind.

I have given you an insight just a little about me………….

Did you take the time to look close enough to see the real me?
